Kids and Teens classes in Hillsborough
Current evidence based guildelines state that children and young people aged 5 to 18 should:

aim for an average of at least 60 minutes of moderate or vigorous intensity physical activity a day across the week

take part in a variety of types and intensities of physical activity across the week to develop movement skills, muscles and bones

reduce the time spent sitting or lying down and break up long periods of not moving with some activity. Aim to spread activity throughout the day

What is Teen Fit?
An exercise class designed to will help prevent pain and injury in teenagers who sit for long periods at a desk and/or are involved in playing sport.
Classes will be both educational and fun.

What are Teen Fit classes like?
Teen Fit provides a mix of strengthening exercises, Pilates and yoga based movements which will improve upper and lower body strength and flexibility, core and hip stability, balance and posture.
Each class is structured to include a warm-up, full-body workout, and cool-down, with modifications offered throughout the class to accommodate different levels of fitness and ability.
Who can join the Teen Fit class?
Our Teen Fit classes are suitable for all fitness levels and for young people aged from 11-18 years old.
Regardless of whether you are sporty or not, our Teen Fit classes offer something for everyone – so come give it a try today!
Can I do Teen Fit if I’m recovering from an injury?
Our Teen Fit classes are low-impact, making them a great form of exercise if you are recovering from an injury. Our Teen Fit instructor Lynne Welby will modify exedrcises so you can be guaranteed a safe and beneficial workout! Why not give it a try today?
What are Kids Yoga classes like?
The Kids' Yoga classes will be filled with breathing exercises, yoga poses, a yoga story, some calming arts and crafts activities and a relaxation to finish.
The main aim of the class is to give children some tools to help them regulate their emotions when they feel things are too much.
Positive affirmations will help to build self esteem and learning how to move our bodies will help to shake any stress away.

Classes are 45 minutes long and will be small in numbers (max 9) to allow individual attention within the group.

Kids Yoga Instructor
Anna Leckey is All Active’s highly experienced Kids Yoga instructor. Anna is also qualified in Bikram Yoga, Yin Yoga, Intermediate Yoga and Rocket Yoga!
